Dr. Louise Rutter

Dr. Rutter has been one of one of our regular relief veterinarians for several years, and now works most Thursdays at DVH as a part-time associate. Dr. Rutter graduated with degrees in zoology and veterinary medicine from the University of Cambridge, England. She worked full time in small animal practice in the UK and earned the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate of Veterinary Dermatology before moving to the Puget Sound area in 2004. She spent three years as an associate in a feline specialty practice, then later started her own business as a relief veterinarian. She loves the variety of general practice and is particularly passionate about dermatology and feline medicine. She is a member of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology and the American Association of Feline Practitioners, as well as other professional organizations. Dr. Rutter currently lives with her husband and three cats. She loves the outdoors, and enjoys hiking, birdwatching and scuba diving. She and her husband also own a Caterham 7 sports car, which has won several awards at local car shows, and may sometimes be found at DVH in good weather!
